The late Harriet T. Koch passed on in 2016, a day before Mother’s Day. She died at the age of 90 at her home in Acton, Mass and it was sad news to her loved ones and her husband who had been by her side for over six decades.

Harriet’s Career
Harriet Carell was a professional psychiatric nurse who worked in the field for many years. She worked at Emerson Hospital in Concord for over 30 years, until she retired. Even after Harriet retired, she continued to work with the Caton Nursing Service.
Besides serving many years as a nurse, she loved spending time with her family. In her part-time, she would make preserves and visit flea markets. Moreover, she was a fan of Tom Brady, the Patriots quarterback, who she referred to as her “boyfriend”.
Family
Harriet was a proud mother and wife. She married Edwin Carell, an electrical engineer in 1963. Considering the successful careers that Harriet and her husband led, they were able to take their four children to good schools.
While some of Harriet’s children have led quiet lives away from the limelight, her son, Steve Carell has been an iconic actor, featuring in numerous films.
Steven Carell was born on August 16, 1962, in Concord, Massachusetts. He attended Middlesex School for her high school education before she continued to Denison University in Granville, Ohio for higher education.
In 1984, Steve graduated with a history degree. He then joined the Burpee Seedy Theatrical Company, where he began working as a DJ. He was also part of a children’s theater company. Towards the end of the 1980s, Steve began acting in comedy and theaters. In 1989, he appeared in a commercial for Brwon’s Chicken.
He made his film debut in 1991 after he got a minor role in Curly Sue, a comedy drama. Steve continued taking minor roles in television shows and films, until 1999 when he was the correspondent for The Daily Show, which ran up to 2005.
Steve Carell’s Success in Acting
Carell’s career breakthrough began in 2004 when he had a major film role in the 2004 comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The comedy’s producer, Judd Apatow was impressed by Carell’s performance, inviting him to star in a film.
The two collaborated and The 40-Year-Old Virgin was released. The film made 4109 million at the domestic box office sales, establishing Carell as a leading actor. As a result of his performance, he earned an MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance and other awards for screenplay.
In 2005, Carell signed a deal with NBC to feature in The Office The series became a huge success after the first season, and it earned Steve numerous awards.
